Canada has so much scope for the imagination! Today we are headed to the home of the very beloved and very much imagined Anne of Green Gables.
Before leaving Kouchibouguac we imagined ourselves kayaking in the long strip of sea between the dune and the shore. We took a morning bike ride to find the best place to launch the boats. We packed up the camper and headed to our selected beach. We were slightly discouraged when we were attacked by a swarm of mosquitoes while we were assembling our kayaks, but we imagined they’d be gone once we got on the water.
We imagined correctly, and had a wonderful paddle up and down the shore. The wind was picking up when we finished kayaking which worked out well because the bugs were gone when we folded up our kayaks and stored them in the bed of the truck.
After lunch we headed to PEI. We stopped for supplies at a Walmart and dinner in a town called Summerside and arrived at our campsite at the Cavendish National Park Campground.
