Back to My Roots??

I grew up being told I was half Irish and half Italian. My first red haired brown eyed daughter confirmed it. Enter ancestry.com and dna testing. We were right about the Italian, but I don't have any Irish in me, none! My Irish is mostly Scottish. But my great grandparents were born in Belfast. They immigrated to Canada sometime between 1908 and 1910. My grandmother was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada on June 4, 1910 (Happy Birthday Nana). I do remember being told my Irish was Orange. When did my Scottish ancestors go to Ireland and why did they leave? We're off on an Irish adventure to discover my roots and tour Ireland. We're renting a camper van is Dublin and making a clockwise circle around the island. On the wrong side of the road and the wrong side of the van, Andy will be doing the driving. We planning stops at EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum and will be visited relatives in Belfast. Maybe we'll discover some stories from the past and find answers to my Irish ancestry puzzle. We'll post updates of on our adventure 😊
